The Trust Appreciates its SupportersProject Kiwi Trust is dependent on financial support from funding bodies and business organisations. It has been financially viable for fourteen years through such support and topped up when necessary with financial support from generous individuals. To continue its work protecting and enhancing the kiwi population and to reach new goals, the Trust needs to raise additional funding on top of its current income to be able to operate effectively, further extend its programme and begin new initiatives for kiwi conservation. We are taking this role one step further and are very proud that Ridgeline can be part of Project Kiwi, providing performance outdoor clothing and equipment for the project workers and supporting a range of initiatives." | "WWF New Zealand is proud to support Project Kiwi in protecting New Zealand's iconic kiwi and its habitat. The work of groups like Project Kiwi is vital in protecting the species and places that are special to New Zealanders, and Project Kiwi demonstrates what can be done with drive, determination and a lot of input from local communities. A major reason that WWF supports Project Kiwi is because of the excellent record of attracting and using volunteers from a range of backgrounds and the Project's approach to engaging with the wider Coromandel community including local business, hapu and schools." | "The decision to sponsor this project was not a difficult one. As a kiwi sponsor already via the BNZ the opportunity to further contribute to the preservation of our native fauna was a no brainer. Through my association with Waitaia I had been made painfully aware of the plight of our national bird. Having been born and raised on the Coromandel it made sense that this was the place to lend my support." Brian Wilkins Owner Pac Trading NZ Ltd pactrading@xtra.co.nz | |
